President Obama issued a proclamation declaring October  2009 National Arts & Humanities Month. To recognize and celebrate the important role arts and culture play in our lives, the National Endowment for the Arts encourages citizens around the country to visit their local arts organizations… like DCCAH!

Online, the NEA has been coordinating a month long campaign providing daily highlights of arts projects happening throughout the country during the month of October.

What can you do to support the arts in DC?

Attend this month’s Art Salon at the Corcoran on October 29. This event is organized to promote local art and artists; and where better to do so than at the Corcoran Gallery of Art? Fresh, local artists will be mixing and mingling with the works of the old masters in this truly unique blend of the old and the new guard.

RSVP by October 29 to receive FREE admission to the Corcoran!
