Still curious about the work of world renowned photographer Edward Burtynsky ?

As part of FotoWeekDC, Burtynsky returns to the Corcoran Gallery of Art to discuss his epic photography expose, Edward Burtynsky: Oil. Join him for Edward Burtynsky and the Industrial Sublime, where he explores the intricate relationship between industry and nature in his large-scale photographs, revealing the inherent struggle to preserve yet exploit the landscape.

Burtynsky’s lens captures scenes both beautiful and terrifying, much like the artists in our October Art Salon at the Corcoran Gallery of Art. Two local artists, Aniekan Udofia and Tim Conlon, repurposed Burtynsky’s photographic account into their own renditions. View photos from the event here.
