Who’s Who of Art Salon: Spotlight on Tala Abu Rahmeh

November Art Salon is this Wednesday at Longview Gallery! Between now and then, get to know a few of the artists performing.

Tala Abu Rahmeh offers her unique and worldly experiences to this month’s Art Salon. Originally from Yaffa, she graduated from Birzeit University in Ramallah before landing in Washington, DC. Most recently, Tala has obtained her MFA in Creative Writing from American University. Often recognized for her unique perspective and writing style, Tala received the Eliav-Sartawi Middle East Journalism Award and the Expressions of Nakba Competition Best Written Work Award in 2008.

Don’t miss November’s Art Salon, Poetry in Motion. Join us for a night of performance poetry and a sample of MGFest ‘09 at one of DC’s newest spaces.
