Monday: Clifford D. Connor @ Busboys & Poets

DC’s own progressive, independent bookstore Teaching for Change is hosting a book discussion on Monday, April 12 at Busboys and Poets on 14th & V.

Author Clifford D. Connor will discuss his 2007 prize-winning A People’s History of Science: Miners, Midwives and Low Mechanicks. The book expands on Howard Zinn‘s concept of a people’s history by attributing its origins and development to the productive activities of working people.

This event is free and open to the public and scheduled to start at 6:30pm.

The first 20 current K-12 classroom teachers who attend the talk will receive a free copy of the book!
