Socrates Sculpture Park: A Unique Public Art Opportunity

DCCAH is teaming up with Washington Project for the Arts to partner with Socrates Sculpture Park in Long Island City, NY for a Public Art Residency Program. This unique opportunity will instruct and inform artists about practical and conceptual issues related to the creation of public art.

Participants will learn how to develop a proposal for public art work, identify sources for materials and funding, and access a support network for technical assistance and future opportunities related to the creation of public art.

Through WPA and DCCAH, one DC artist will have the opportunity to participate in the program starting in September 2010.
