The Art of Taxes: What to Fill Out, What to File…



The THE ART OF TAXES workshop with Certified Public Accountant Brian Davis is back for its 4th year. The workshop will be held on Saturday, January 29th from 10 a.m. until noon at Flashpoint. Tickets are going fast, so please don’t wait.

* For those hoping to apply for artist housing at the Brookland Artspace Lofts developed by Artspace Projects, Inc., it is critical to have your taxes filed correctly and timely for the previous 2 years. Applications available March 2011, move-in beginning in June. The ART OF TAXES workshop will answer many questions about the nuances of filing taxes as an artist so that you are adequately prepared for artist housing applications.

Ever wondered how to best present yourself for an interview or an audition? Join costume designer Deb Sivigny for DRESS FOR SUCCESS: THE ART OF DRESSING FOR AUDITIONS AND INTERVIEWS on Wednesday, February 9th from 6 – 8 p.m. at Source to learn tips of the trade.

Deb works for Stacy London’s Style for Hire helping clients to select body-appropriate clothing. In addition, she teaches courses in costume design and history for Georgetown University’s program in Theatre and Performance Studies, as well as managing the program’s costume shop.

Tickets are now available online.

The event is free for active Red Circle members and $30 for non-members. Red Circle members should RSVP to Non-members must purchase tickets online.
