Open Competition for the 2012 Venice Biennale

Last year’s Workshopping exhibition representing the United States at the Venice Architecture Biennale was a socially engaged showstopper (and VAI was proud to be a part of it). Now, the Department of State has announced the next open competition for grants available to U.S.-based nonprofit organizations including museums, galleries, visual, and design arts centers and schools of design and architecture to organize the official U.S. presentation at the 13th International Architecture Exhibition. The Department of State will make up to $100,000 available for all aspects of the exhibition including development, preparation, travel of curators and key participants, production, and installation during the exhibition between August and November 2012. Proposals are due by April 15.
