Film Forward on the National Mall – May 12

I wanted you to know and share with your constituents that Film Forward will be showing its 5 US and 5 international independent films simultaneously on the National Mall May 12 starting around 6 PM.

Filmmakers will answer questions from audiences about their films after each screening. There will be some other celebrities and cultural leaders  on hand as well. Film Forward is an initiative of the Sundance Institute and the President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the Institute of Museum and Library Services. By May 12, midway through the yearlong program, Film Forward will have been presented in Tunisia, Turkey and China along with domestic presentations in Tennessee, and New York.
