Washington Sound Museum | Christylez Bacon | Nistha Raj

Saturday, May 21st at 7 pm

Washington Sound Museum is a cross-cultural collaborative music experience, a monthly intimate celebration of music and beverage, in partnership with Christylez Bacon & BloomBars. The purpose of the event is to introduce audiences to a variety of musical genres while bringing them together each month through collaboration.

On May 21stHindustani Classical violinist, Nistha Raj will be joining Christylez Bacon for this month’s Sound Museum at BloomBars. Nistha is American-born, but is renowned in the Indian classical music genre. A multiple grant recipient of DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities and a frequent performer at Kennedy Center for Performing Arts, Nistha has travelled the world to play her music.

Although acclaimed and professionally rounded, she still receives training from learned masters of Indian Classical music.

According to Christylez, last month’s premiere Washington Sound Museum was a success, “It was a perfect way to introduce this event.” He believes that the multi-instrument performance merged well with the mixed genres and was glad to see a packed house.

The tea reception for this month will feature a traditional Indian tea that has not been chosen yet, but the event will begin promptly at 7pm, with performances at 8pm and will last until 10pm.
