Sulu DC presents Miss Fortune: Spotlight on AAPI Women in Hip-Hop

Rocky Rivera

This all-female hip-hop showcase will highlight the true definition of “Amazians.” The powerful lyrics, songs and movement of this fierce lineup of Asian American and Pacific Islander women will shatter all glass ceilings and minority myths. Don’t think “Tiger Moms” or even Tiger daughters. No Dragon Ladies here. These women know boom bap, and they’re coming to show and prove.

– Bay Area sensation ROCKY RIVERA
– New York rapper-violinist duo MISNOMER(S)
– Hip-hop dance performance by KICKROCKS CREW
– HBO spoken word poet KELLY ZEN-YIE TSAI as host and performer
– Sounds by THE PINSTRIPED REBEL on the decks

Tickets are $10 online and $15 at the door.
Please note that this is an 18+ show.
