Poet Laureate, Dolores Kendrick – 2011 National Book Festival

Of the fifty US Poets Laureate, the Library of Congress has chosen five to read at the National Book Fair September 24th-25th, 2011. Our Poet Laureate, Dolores Kendrick, has been chosen one of the five!  This is a great honor not only for Ms. Kendrick, but also for the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities. We would like to invite you to attend the reading.  Ms. Kendrick will be reading on Sunday, September 25th at the Pavilion on the Mall at 1:00pm. There will also be a book signing at 2:30pm. Come to the 11th annual National Book Festival, organized and sponsored by the Library of Congress, on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama are honorary chairs for the event. The festival is free and open to the public.

Saturday, Sept. 24: 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Sunday, Sept. 25: 1 to 5:30 p.m.
