GRANT DEADLINES EXTENDED for AEP, UPS, CAG and FCAP

DEADLINES FOR APPLICATIONS TO ARTS EDUCATION PROGRAM, UPSTART, AND COMMUNITY ARTS GRANT PROGRAMS EXTENDED TO FRIDAY, AUGUST 26, 2011 11:59 PM.

In response to closures and delays occurring as a result of yesterday’s earthquake, the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities has extended deadlines for the following grant programs: Arts Education Program, UPSTART and Community Arts Grant to accommodate individuals and organizations unable to complete and/or submit their applications.  All remaining application deadlines will remain the same. The deadline extension also allows applicants who submitted their materials to these programs to revisit their online application and make changes if necessary.

Interim Executive Director Ayris Scales stated, “The DC Commission on Arts and Humanities wants to guarantee that applicants have an equal and fair opportunity to participate in the Commission’s diverse grant programs.  In light of yesterday’s events, those who experienced technical difficulties will now have ample time to ensure the completion of their application(s).”

All applications are due at 11:59pm on the deadline date. The deadlines for all FY12 grant applications are as follows:
